My research follows the three ways OCD is treated. I have written on how medication should be used and combined, on the behavioural treatments for OCD and tics and how to deliver them well and, from the first UK randomised trial of deep brain stimulation for OCD, which I coordinated, to international work mapping the brain circuits that every effective treatment acts upon, on the neuroscience that ties them together.
